Originally released in 1975, "Jóia" is a sound laboratory where the artist experiments with different musical genres, blending string arrangements, percussive elements and tribal influences. The iconic songs on this album, such as "Minha Mulher," "Guá" and "Canto do Povo de um Lugar," are marked by Caetano's sensitive poetry and his chameleon-like voice. The original cover was censored and depicted Caetano naked with his wife and son, but it was replaced with paintings of doves.
